Attributed to William Demuth, New York City, late 19th century, zinc. Classically robed woman with American shield and laurel wreath. She wears a liberty cap and carries a sword. Old paint in patriotic colors. Some wear and flaking. 58"h.

Seam separation between wreath and shield but piece is solid, base has some dents, dent in front of left proper shoulder. Glue along underside of cape near body. Most significant paint loss along back edges of cape, base, front knee and left proper elbow.
Right proper index finger appears to have been reattached and repainted. 9/12
