Mid 19th century, mixed woods including pine, poplar and cherry. Two-piece cupboard with original red and yellow grain paint. Two blind doors and a pie shelf on top. Base has three dovetailed drawers over two doors. Replaced back boards, edge wear. 85"h. 55"w. 18.25"d. From the Harry Hartman Collection.

Woods include pine, poplar, flame birch, and chestnut backboards. Case has square nails, backboards are all attached with later wire nails. Backboards are most likely old replacements, no evidence of any other nails, good oxidation and appropriate color on interior where they have slightly pulled away from shelves. Additional wire nails in drawers are to hold dovetails. Top doors have screw attachments, bottom doors are just glued.
Small repair to top of middle drawers, drawers have minor edge loss. Bottom right door has small split at glue line. Top of base (pie shelf) has area of loss to paint approx. 8"-10"d. Otherwise minor surface wear and scratches. Several small areas of inpainting on the front corners of the cornice and a few across the front of the cornice. Small chip on right facing side of top (near the bottom).
Listed as mid 19th century, most likely 3rd quarter. 3/14
