STILL LIFE (AMERICAN SCHOOL, LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY).
Oil on artist board, unsigned. Watermelon slices and bees (or flies). Some crazing. 12"h. 18.5"w., framed, 15.5"h. 21.75"w.
Paint loss with small radiating lines along right edge, middle of top edge and top left corner. A few minor areas of crazing. Revarnished. Inpainting shows on right edge, a line under bottom watermelon and small spot in the middle. Painting and varnish appears to be thick and slightly brittle accounting for radiating crazing. 3/8
